FAQ
Curious about how I build my guitars, or what it’s like to order one? You’ll find answers to the most common questions here.

What’s your question about?
The guitars
-
I make steel-string acoustic guitars. I build in a way that allows me to use very thin tops. A thinner top responds more easily to the player’s touch, which makes the guitar feel alive in your hands. I carefully brace each top to ensure it stays strong and stable, while still allowing it to breathe and resonate freely. The result is a responsive, lightweight instrument that’s easy to play and full of character.
-
My guitars are built primary for fingerstyle, but of course they work with other playing styles as well.
-
Yes, it always depends on the guitar. I often work with spruce, mahogany and rosewood. The important thing is how they sound and feel together. If you have any other ideas, let’s talk.
The building process
-
Just a handful. That’s how I keep the quality high and the process personal.
-
All guitars are built in my small workshop in the Swedish countryside, just outside Stockholm. It’s a quiet place surrounded by forest – and home to a family of squirrels living in the roof!
-
Usually 150–200 hours, depending on the model and your choices. This includes careful wood selection, hand-shaping, voicing, finishing and time for the instrument to settle. I’ll keep you in the loop along the way.
-
Absolutely. I’m happy to share photos or videos during the build if you’d like to follow along.
Ordering and pricing
-
Send me an email and tell me a bit about yourself and what you’re after. I’ll get back to you with questions, suggestions and options. We’ll take it from there.
-
It depends on the model and any custom features. Once I know what you need, I’ll give you a detailed quote.
-
When possible, yes. I sometimes offer demo instruments or loan periods for musicians seriously considering a build.
Care and maintenance
-
Keep it at a stable humidity (around 40–50%) and away from extreme temperatures. A guitar needs some love: regular playing, gentle cleaning, and a good case. I include care instructions with every instrument, and you can always reach out with questions.
-
I build instruments meant to last a lifetime. If something goes wrong due to craftsmanship or materials, I’ll take care of it — as long as you're the original owner who purchased the guitar directly from me.
Working together
-
Sometimes, yes. I occasionally loan instruments for testing, recording or feedback. If you’re curious to try one, feel free to get in touch.
-
Definitely. If you review instruments or run a relevant platform, I’m happy to talk. Just reach out and tell me a bit about what you do.
The maker
-
Me, Arman Hashemi Damneh. I’m a trained luthier and experienced woodworker with a deep respect for both tradition and individuality. I do everything myself, by hand, in my workshop.
-
I’ve worked with wood since I was a kid, but it wasn’t until an internship with a luthier that everything clicked. I come from the craft side of things — drawn to the beauty of wood, the precision of shaping, and the idea that something I build can help someone else express themselves through music.
-
Because my handmade guitars are more than just instruments – they're a collaboration between builder and player. Each guitar I make is unique, crafted slowly and deliberately with an eye for detail, a love of wood, and a deep respect for sound. No two guitars are the same, and yours is built for you, not for the shelf.
